Hi All,

Been away for a while, so need to report back on the search for a pedalboard-pedalswitcher ;-)

I decided to go for a
loopholic (firmware1.8) after loopholic informed me on the loopholic having the ability to midicontrol op to 5 devices. That is more than I would need, but at the moment it would be three midi devices (so musicomlab dropped from the list, also because their new pedal would take another year (mkIII)).

So opted for the
loopholic:

signal chain:

guitar -> lehle dual (signal split & tuner out). ps: not sure if the tuner out of the loopholic can be abused as signal split?

lehle dual -> (1) shimmer (via boss volume/expression pedal)
(2) loopholic (main)

Loopholic has 10 loops
1 MXR dynacom
2 Digitech synth wah (will go out, due both m9 and modfactor)
3 dirk-hendrik screamer (will go out, m9 sounds just as good)
4 boss od2
5 -empty-
6 eventide modfactor (midi)
7 line6 m9 (midi)
8 dirk hendrik sdd3k pedal
9 eventide timefactor (midi)
10 boss fa1

loopholic out -> amp

SO now I am controlling eventide modfactor and timefactor an m9 with it, aswell als all connected pedals with one button.

That's amazing and works well. I just tried U2's magnificient in a first setup:

bank 4
button 1 -> switches om modfactor Q wah in fixed postion, to get that little riff in the beginning of magnificent
button 2 -> switches on timefactor with dual delays (digital delay with 525ms and 395 ms or so) for main riff
button 3 -> m9 with harmonizer and shimmer (m9) for the chord part
button 4 -> slide part, dynacom and fa1 for extra bang ;-).. Can hardly use the slide yet, but it sounds good.

Loopholic has 32 banks of 5 "switches" , I for now use 1 bank per song.

I now have a seperate shimmer (=octo setting verbzilla) loop, which gives me an extra option on the B button of the lehle dual, I can add in shimmer and any given moment.. Sounds better seperate the shimmer from the m9, as the m9 will be influenced by the other pedals.

Also tried the midi cc commands today, trying to control the line m9 (m13 would be the same). works great, i can now switch on / off individual fx within the m9.

a smart way would be selecting the right scene beforehand with button 1 being the intro part of song x (the line6 m9 doesnt need to be used, loop can be off)., and switch on/off necessary fx's while porgressing with chiorus / verse / solo etc. selecting a complete new scene is also possible. a single scene can be used for multiple songs like this.

one thing i need to sort out is spill over with the loopholic. switching a complete loop of means off.. really off. solution might be switching off via midi, and keeping the loop on.. have to try that though..
